Metropole Orkest – An identity driven by music
The Metropole Orkest is globally renowned as The world’s leading pop & jazz orchestra, collaborating with artists like Anouk, Snarky Puppy, and Gregory Porter. Their identity had to reflect this dynamic—never static, always evolving and innovative, just like their music. We developed a visual language that is as vibrant and versatile as the orchestra itself.
Challenge & Strategy
Metropole Orkest faced a challenge: how to establish a strong, recognizable identity without compromising the diversity and dynamism of their collaborations? They needed a way to reinforce their unique signature while maintaining the flexibility to adapt to different projects.
This led us to develop a strategy that became the foundation of their new identity. The core idea: a system where the orchestra remains instantly recognizable while allowing for flexibility. A balance between a distinct brand presence and the visual adaptability required for their collaborations.
Concept
Music is at the heart of the identity, transforming sound into visual compositions. The result is ever-evolving patterns, unique to each piece performed by the Metropole Orkest.
The sound logo is central to the visual identity. This auditory signature forms the foundation of the corporate identity and ensures consistency across all touchpoints.
For each collaboration, the visual design adapts based on the key visual and the distinct sound of the project. While the core design language remains intact, every partnership receives a unique, tailored expression.

Result
An identity that moves with the music. From print to digital applications, from live visuals to social media— the style is always recognizable yet never the same. The Metropole Orkest now has a visual language that embodies its musical DNA, making its energy and versatility tangible across every platform.
